Great Commission Schools is a private Christian institution, located in the center of Altoona, PA. We have a proud tradition of academic excellence. Our students are tomorrow's Christian leaders. With an emphasis on Christian character development and moral ethics, Great Commission Schools is known for its outstanding student body and skilled staff.

We offer a stimulating learning environment to all students. We are a member of and pursuing accreditation with the Association of Christian Schools International (click ACSI). All of our classrooms are equipped with computers and safe software to ensure that our students are prepared for the future. We offer dual enrollment with Penn State Altoona, Spring Arbor University, Missouri University, Penn Highlands Community College, and Penn Foster University. Students can potentially graduate from Great Commission Schools with 30 semester hours of college credits.

Great Commission Schools is a member of the Allegheny Christian Athletic Association (click ACAA) sporting several successful seasons of Girls and Boys Soccer, Girls and Boys Basketball and all school Track.

The Great Commission Schools staff believes that its primary purpose is to educate each student to the highest possible level of academic achievement by providing an appropriate Christian based curriculum in a safe, healthy environment. We are committed to helping students grow academically, spiritually, emotionally and socially. We believe in creating an environment that encourages learning and social growth through character building and high expectations.
