My father used to question why I travel all the time. He used to say, “You can just sit in the comfort of your own home and have a front row seat through the television. Why waste the money?” I will tell you what I told him: Yes, it’s easy to access those places through the technology we have in today’s modern world, but you can’t get a feel for a place unless you experience it person. That’s why we offer the Open House!
We live in a technological age in which information on a particular topic or area of interest is available at your fingertips. However, you just can’t beat the age-old method of just seeking the information in person.
When you come to the Open House, you can get the paper-and-pencil type of information, but you’ll get so much more when you walk through the doors and feel the atmosphere in the school. You can use your five senses to better gauge if GCS is the right fit for you and your family (I’ll be sure to request that our cafeteria staff prepares something yummy so that the aroma fills the hallways!)
At the Open House event, you will be able to gather the information necessary to make a better decision for future educational opportunities for your child. Typical information includes: Hours of operation, lunch program, and classes offered; transportation to and from school, athletics and activities, and the most important components - tuition costs and financial aid opportunities.

INTERESTED IN ATTENDING? The GCS Open House is being held Tuesday, February 26 from 3:30-7:00pm for families interested in enrolling students for the 2019-2020 school year. The school is accepting student applications and registrations for students in Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12 for fall of 2019. For more information, to receive an application packet, or to make a reservation to the Open House, please contact the school office at 814-942-9710 or visit greatcommissionschools.org/open-house. While reservations are preferred for the Open House, walk-ins are welcome.
