Student life at Great Commission Schools is incredibly supportive. Our teachers develop caring relationships with our students, allowing for the adaptation of curricula to meet the social, emotional, and educational needs of everyone. Our excellence in academics provides our students with opportunities in advanced placement classes, participation in the Appalachia IU8 Quiz Bowl, and acceptances to competitive colleges and universities. The performing arts program at GCS provides many opportunities for our students. We offer music and drama classes along with the opportunity to participate in plays, musicals, and an ensemble group. Great Commission athletics helps students to develop skills for a lifetime of success. Great Commission Schools are a member of the Allegheny Christian Athletic Association (ACAA). The ACAA is comprised of 15 schools that form an Eastern and Western Division across Central Pennsylvania. The league offers competition in soccer, basketball, and track and field.

  • GCS teachers offer one-to-one guidance for their students to better themselves, not only in the classroom but in their personal relationship with God.

  • GCS offers a healthy lunch schedule every day for the students as an alternative to packing.

  • GCS encourages student athletes to be examples of Christ during every event.

  • GCS welcomes all ideas that are directed towards the edification of school.

  • GCS is more than just a private Christian school; GCS is family!
